Love,
Grandma – Book Readings
Love,
Grandma: Activists Write, letters and poetry drawn from
the memories of the active lives of women and men, was published in
November 2007. In response to an invitation from Grandmothers Against the War, contributions came from all
over the United States
and even overseas. In Love, Grandma, writers share
their thoughts and experiences with their grandchildren and write of
important moments in their lives, experiences which molded their
philosophies, and their participation in the peace movement and other
social issues in their communities.
In readings in libraries and senior centers we
want to encourage readers to write their own letters
to their grandchildren and share them with us for publication at this
website or a possible second edition of the book.
If you want us to read at your organization or
can help set up readings, please call (510) 845-3815 or send mail to info@gawba.org .
